Curiosity is key in vocal variety and nuanced expression. If we stay curious about the person, place or thing in front of us, we will pull back less, our mask of competence will come down and our humanity will be revealed. With this pressure off, we stop holding our breath, stop trying to sound a certain way, stop trying to be perfect. We will be more present, more approachable, more alive in the moment. Moment to moment.

So, stay curious - less critical and in wonder - keep your intelligence but let yourself be a little less "smart" a little less "know it all" - allow your beginner's mind to be present; along with the child in you who sees for the first time ... Enter into a conversation like this and see what happens.
